The Story: Coffee Create 5

In a sunlit café where time lingered like spilled milk on a napkin, five phones lay face up on the table.  Silent witnesses to a conversation waiting to begin.  She sat forward, legs crossed, sketching hearts on a page; he leaned back, arms folded, tracing X's and O's in his mind.  Words were spoken, yes and no, simple as day turning to night.

One turned the notebook.  One returned it to center.

Outside, the light shifted, changing faces from shadow to glow. Inside, their eyes met  a quiet ignition.  No grand gestures, just the soft draw of connection, like ink blooming on paper.  He smiled.  She smiled back.

As the sun dipped, they rose, leaving behind the napkins folded, phones forgotten, hearts and X's aligned.  The café held their whisper: sometimes, love starts with a single "yes" in the pause between sips.  A poem written in light, unfolding day into night.
