The Story: Work
Work explores the moment when a person realizes that the pursuit of productivity has slowly replaced the simple joy of living.
Seated at his desk, surrounded by the demands of work and responsibility, he recognizes an uncomfortable truth: somewhere along the way, he has forgotten how to play. His days have become measured by tasks completed, goals achieved, and obligations fulfilled, while imagination, spontaneity, and joy have been pushed aside.
But the realization becomes a turning point.
The words “And I won’t do that TODAY” transform the painting from a reflection into a decision. Today, he chooses differently. He chooses to step away from endless work and reclaim the creative, curious part of himself that never truly disappeared.
WORK is ultimately a reminder that achievement alone does not make a life meaningful. We may spend years learning how to work, succeed, and accomplish—but we must also remember how to wonder, create, laugh, and play.
The story is not about quitting work. It is about refusing to let work become the whole story.
